FOR THE TEAM · WAITERS AND KITCHEN
Your team learns
it in one shift.
"They'll never learn it", you hear it with every system change. Here the waiter takes an order at the first table and the cook reads the screen from the first ticket. No week-long training.
THE SHIFT ✕ → ✓
What the team leaves behind. What the screen takes over.
Waiters on top, kitchen below. Every line is friction that today eats time and loses orders, here it's simply gone.
✕ WHAT THE TEAM LEAVES BEHIND
→ WHAT THE SCREEN TAKES OVER
✕ Waiter: writing the order on paper and running it to the kitchen
→ The order leaves the PDA and lands in the kitchen the same second
✕ Waiter: splitting and merging bills with a pencil
→ Split and merge a table with one tap, the guest pays however they like
✕ Waiter: dividing tips "by feel" at the end of the shift
→ Tips are split transparently and everyone sees their own share
✕ Waiter: who's covering the open shift?
→ An open shift shows up and anyone claims it from their phone
✕ Cook: shouting and tickets stuck on the pass
→ The KDS shows every dish, in order and on time, no shouting
✕ Cook: "the salmon's out", the guest finds out first
→ One tap takes a dish off every screen instantly. With auto-stock, it hides itself the moment stock hits zero.
✕ Cook: the recipe and quantities living in one person's head
→ Recipe cards on screen, the same dish, whoever makes it
✕ Cook: prep "roughly" and binning the rest at close
→ Prep from the forecast and a waste log, you cook what will sell
Course pacing: dishes leave at a rhythm, not all at once. Less heat on the pass, better service at the table.
THE TEAM'S QUESTIONS FAQ
What the team asks.
See all the features →- What if my staff aren't great with technology?
- That's exactly what it's built for. The waiter taps the table, picks dishes, sends. The cook reads one screen ordered by priority. By the first shift they've got it, no manual.
- Does the kitchen and floor need separate training?
- No. It's one system with two faces: the waiter's PDA and the kitchen's KDS talk to each other. Show each face once and the team carries on by itself.
- What about tips, will there be grumbling?
- Less, not more. Tips are split transparently and everyone sees how their share came out. The "why did they get more" argument goes away.
- If someone's missing, does the shift get covered?
- The open shift shows up and anyone on the team claims it from their phone. No need to call around one by one.
